#8 How to Share Your Notes
Tap the share button in the editor toolbar — that's it. You get a private link, social sharing, and email, all in one place.
Share a private link
- Open a note and tap the share button
- Tap Copy Link — a private URL is copied to your clipboard
- Send it to anyone — they can read it in their browser, no account needed
Your link looks like: penpage.com/@yourname/s/abc1234
How long does the link last?
By default, shared links expire in 7 days. You can change this:
| Option | Duration |
|---|---|
| 24 hours | Quick share, auto-expires tomorrow |
| 7 days | Default — good for most cases |
| 30 days | Longer projects or references |
| No expiry | Link stays active until you revoke it |
Change the expiry or revoke a link anytime from the share dialog.
Share to social media
The share dialog has buttons for:
- LINE / WhatsApp / Telegram — opens the app with your link ready to send
- Facebook / X (Twitter) — posts your link with a preview card
- Email — enter an address and PenPage sends a styled email with your note content
No copy-paste needed. One tap opens the right app.
What recipients see
- A clean, read-only view of your note
- A "Save to my PenPage" button — one tap saves a copy to their own PenPage
- That's how you got here, too
Revoke a share
Changed your mind? Open the share dialog and tap Revoke. The link stops working immediately.
Want it permanently public instead?
If you want your note to live on your public profile — not just a temporary link — see #9 How to Publish Publicly.
