Getting Started
PenPage is a privacy-first note-taking application that stores your notes locally in your browser. No account required, no data sent to servers.
- Create a Page - Click the + button to create a new note
- Start Writing - Use Markdown shortcuts or just type naturally
- Organize - Create folders and workspaces to organize your notes
- Backup - Go to Settings > Save to export your notes
- Sync (Optional) - Enable Google Drive sync for multi-device access

Privacy & Security
- Does PenPage access my note content? - No. PenPage runs entirely in your browser. Your notes are stored in IndexedDB on your device and are never sent to our servers.
- Where is my data stored? - All data is stored locally in your browser using IndexedDB. If you enable Google Drive sync, encrypted copies are stored in your personal Drive.
Data & Backup
- Will clearing browser data delete my notes? - Yes. That's why we strongly recommend regular backups (Settings > Save) or enabling Google Drive sync.
- Can I use PenPage on multiple devices? - Yes! Enable Google Drive sync to access your notes from any device.
